I have a client that needs to be able to see/view the point cloud but can't install software or use a web browser to do it. Is there a method I can pack and go the point cloud, and viewing software so the client can just double click on an executable or file that opens without installing software and allows them to view the point cloud?
I know Faro has a pack and go solution, but I can't find anything for Leica.
How do others get around this for clients to view the point cloud data?
Thanks

Re: Portable or self-extracting viewer for Trueview
Leica does have a portable TruView application for viewing the LGS files. On the same webpage where you can download the standard TruViewer application for install, there is the "Portable" option. I don't remember the difference between that and the Pack & Go version. After downloading the file and unzipping it, just find the .exe within the folder, and open the app through that .exe. From there, use your file open option to locate the LGS file you want to open.
I'm not sure you can set it as a default for simply double clicking the .lgs file to then open the portable viewer since it's not actually installed on your computer, but I haven't played with it too much, so I'm not certain about that. Hopefully this helps.
