Hi Everyone,
I created a mesh model and the triangle orientation are not all facing the same direction. Is there a way to fix this. I tried ungrouping the mesh and regrouping it and it prompts you if you want to reorient the triangle to all face the same direction but it still doesn’t work flawlessly. It fixed some pf them but not all. The mesh in the video attached.

I think you are talking about the "Normal " Direction ?
Search the help files for that.
There should just be something like a "Combine" and "Flip Normals" command.
Mike.

Re: Fixing triangle orientation on a mesh
Hello,
The reversed triangles may come from different reasons:
- the points and the related meshing parameters (hole filling, sampling distance)
- discontinuous surfaces (empty space between meshes)
There are different options to reverse triangles. Some of them are explained on https://youtu.be/PwTHauoiNoE
You can also try to create bridge between separate piece of meshes to join them.
Reversed triangles can have an impact of the sign of a calculation (deviation, volume). Otherwise, if you just want to navigate within your model, you can show the mesh in only one colour (Home/Settings/Meshing/Differentiate the inside and the outside).
By the way, if the point cloud includes scanning directions, there is an option to consider or not the direction of each scan in the meshing process.
Regards
