Faro Premium scanner data exporting problem to SD
Hello everyone!
I have trouble with new Faro Premium scanner exporting data from internal memory to memory card. I tried everything I can find:
Formatted sd card;
Used transfer button - nothing..
In setting options - storage management - using little sd card icon transfer button.. it shows that data is transferring but after few seconds it says that scan transferred is finished but memory card is empty.. and at the storage management scan count is 0, but in project/cluster map initial scan number is 65..
One more solution would be try with another sd card but at the moment I don't have it, although sd card that I use is original card that came with scanner.
Fully hope that some of you have some ideas what can I do!
Thank you already

Manage - Projects/clusters - selected project that I want to export - go back to home screen - sd card icon?
Yes I tried, shows that scans and data are being copied to the sd card and after 5 sec appeared following massage - Exported the selected projects successfully to the SD card, but sd card is empty, except:
Is-data map;
Scans map (empty)
FARO-LS file
index-v2 file
ScannerDataCard file... nothing more

Re: Faro Premium scanner data exporting problem to SD
I didn't have this problem.
Has the card been formatted in the scanner or on a pc?

Yes, sd card was formated both in pc and scanner.
I guess have no other option then try with another sd card.
Thank you for response, I will send update how it go's with new sd card.
Have a great day!

With the premium, sometimes you just need to restart the scanner.
If nothing else, contact Faro support. It is possible to access it like a drive after changing some settings in the scanner.

Thank you for replying Justin, but in this situation restarting also don't work.
I tried with new sd card still no success, but I contacted Faro support and they suggested connecting to the scanner via WLAN so I waiting for our company tech guy and hopefully this will allow to access data.

Re: Faro Premium scanner data exporting problem to SD
@SDlaner were you able to solve this? We have the same issue with our scanner - it shows "0 MB Scans: 0" for all scans when the scanner is restarted and they can never be exported, so it only works when we export the scans to SD card right before shutting down the scanner.
The other option is to scan directly into the SD card (Storage Management -> select SD Card), but then it doesn't list the scans/projects there, only shows up when we insert the SD card in the PC. Have you encountered anything like this?

Re: Faro Premium scanner data exporting problem to SD
@meowgoldie, we are also getting the issue,0mb 0 scans within each project if the internal hard drive is used to record the scans.
We have also tried using Faro Steam to see the scans, still nothing.
The data is on hard drive ad we can see the amount is scans when interrogating the internal hard drive.
We have contacted Faro UK tech for support and they can replicate the issue, so this has been escalated high up within Faro Europe.
So hopefully we will have a solution soon.

Re: Faro Premium scanner data exporting problem to SD
After contacting Faro Europe solution was just format internal memory that mean we had to delete all data to repare scanner. After that there was no problem any more, but as I said, we had to redo all our projects that was on scanner.
Lesson from this situation - format your sd cards and internal memory as often as you can after copying all scans.
