Real Works Georeferencing

Post by maxwell566 »

I commpleted some scans on a trackway with 100mm spheres and got very good residuals ( less than 1 mm ) i now have a cloud that i am happy with.

I tried to georeference the cloud using 3 of the spheres that i know the coordinate and elevations for. Realworks applied some sort of transformation and now the cloud is tilted. YES the 3 control points are in a straight line but should be more than enough for a georeference. I dont want any transformations applied i just want to move the cloud to the control points. Is there any way to do this?

or alternatively is there a way to create a survey point for the center of the sphere so i can georeference it in TBC? TBC is a true georeference, it seems like realworks is not doing a georeference at all but rather some sort of transformation. Scary stuff.
