Re: X7 PARASITE POINTS
Does this happen on every scan? And on various other projects? or just this site?
I see a bit of Dirt track... Not to make any assumptions, but could it be dust particles being picked up?
Good thinking on cleaning the lense. Does it just "look" clean, or have you actually tried cleaning it with an alcohol wipe? (sometimes there could be oiliy smudges that may not be obvious to the naked eye)

Re: X7 PARASITE POINTS
Those happen on most scanners but they get filtered out. You could try the medium filtering when doing your recap import. I am not sure for TBC or what ever software you are using (if any) but to filter those with a faro scanner we would use "stray point filter".
Maybe my post will inspire someone more in the know towards the filter you should be using with the tools you have.

Re: X7 PARASITE POINTS
i will test cleaning the lenses with alcohol wipes and see if that fixes the issue, I have done this alot before perhaps im not doing it enough.
in recap i will try to do the filtering. I wasnt doing that because we needed the full cloud density but i will test that out.

Re: X7 PARASITE POINTS
Happens with all gear. You need to filter out with the routines in your software. In scene these are stray points etc,... in Riscan it's isolated points with a minimum number in a certain radius.CountryBoy wrote: ↑Thu Oct 21, 2021 3:36 pm We get that a lot if it is too humid or if it has just rained.
