Hi David,

I could use a little more information?

I assume you are using a GLS-1000?

Did you do occ/bs setup or tie-point targets?

I had another question for somebody. I am using the new Subscription Pack for Autocad 2010 to import point clouds and was wondering how to classify or seperate the point cloud into layers from our Topcon gls-1000 Laser scanner using scanmaster to Autocad. Any help would be great.

you will need to have classified them in scanmaster and exported it as LAS file. Not sure if you can export LAS from scanmaster though. I will install 2010 and give it a go.

Not sure if you can export LAS from scanmaster though.
The current version of Topcon ScanMaster does support exporting to .las format.

David, regarding your question about aligning two scans, I can help you with this. I need to know if you acquired target scans (minimum 3), or if you did BS/OBS measurements with the scanner. If you did neither, we can register scans using the tie point method.

Drop me a message if you would like some assistance.

Kind regards

Nick

Hi David,

Just open manual for ScanMaster on page 57 (Chapter11 Registration). And read it carefully - there are only 10 pages. You will see - it VERY easy :!:
Manual placed on the ScanMaster program folder.

Good luck!
