Hull Modelling

Post by Mike Annear »

I thought I would post some of my old work (2015).
This boat hull was scanned with a Faro focus 3D scanner, the pointcloud was imported into Rhino 3D, then modelled as a surface model using extracted hull sections.
I have just made the video using Rhino+Bongo (animation Plugin).

I have just uploaded a new version of the video with the final Rhino 3D render at the end.

Standard Rhino 3D, no extra pointcloud or rendering plugins, but I did use the Bongo Animation plugin for moving the camera.

The pointcloud was an E.57 file from a Faro Scanner.

What is the cost ?
Rhino3D $995 USD (Permanent license)
Bongo (animation plugin for Rhino) $495 USD (Permanent license)
Windows and Mac.
