Indeed data would help AI ... I could send in 100tb of data...but most our projects are done with targets such as spheres and checkerboards. As long as software dont evolve in the c2c registration,in how it handles inclinometer data... there is no place for AI in my mind in most 3d scanning applications. C2C registration just allow for to much error and the only way to control such error is to use an elaborate target placement. Just my 2 cents. I would love to see a robot place sphere for 3d scan applications... I usually use 12 spheres per scan for my projects
