Re: Whats that?
T-cam = Thermal Camera
Likely why there is an external camera on a scanner that already has an internal camera.

Re: Whats that?
Probably yes, Haven't tried it myself, but the BLK360 does have the ability to show thermal data over point clouds.
Knowing Z+F's software it's probably a simple few clicks to process the thermal data into the cloud data.

Hey! Faro! Wake up!!! It is time to use your upper connections for something more interesting than a simple flash light....
A thermal camera, or a second external camera to decrease picture time collection is what your customers are waiting for.....

Re: Whats that?
Hmm...been a long time since I chimed in on this...thermal imagery and laser scanning is complicated. I have more than just a little bit of experience with this and have used the t-cam on a large project as well as my own implementation with the faro scanners. After using the T-cam I contacted ZF to let them know that it was absolutely amazing! It is pretty much the pinnacle of fusion between laser scanning and thermography at this point in time, but there is still a great deal of work to do to understand and educate how to best utilize the two technologies together. Blasting Faro or Leica for hope of comparable features or performance still seems unreasonable to me. I have been working with thermography as long as I have been laser scanning and getting useful results from the combination is still a challenge. I suggest a little more patience and tolerance. Before you demand a thermal camera integrated into your laser scanner I would ask what you expect to achieve from the combined data? I have yet to see any thermal data from the BLK360, but welcome it.

Re: Whats that?
Jonathan
I have been waiting for almost 4 years since LGS announced the BLK360, and have yet to see calibrated thermal output that they promised even similar to the product that Z+F has on their 5010X sensors that we use.
