Hold my hand please...

Post by Carbix »

I’m trying out 3DR and I think I got a handle on it. For the most part I love the software. Not perfect but I’m getting the UI architecture and the thought process behind all of it.

The area I’m bashing my head against the wall with right now is reporting. I have created this really nice tolerance comparison from plane to plane and would like to export it as a PDF report... I have. I idea how to.

 Yep, I know exactly what you mean. Most of 3DR is fairly intuitive...until you get to the reporting tab. We've literally given up on it until we've got the time to spend a couple of days looking into it.

Thank you random person.

One thing I have to say is I can’t stand these videos with no one talking. Im supposed to watch where the mouse is going and read the bottom text at the same time? Can some angry Australian do a voiceover?

Reporting definitely was a issue when I did a trial run.

I tried to make a larger sheet (24"x36"), and i couldn't find a way to zoom out and see what the whole sheet looked like. Stuck locked into the same view as 8.5x11. was surpised, no ''view all' or view whole page option it seems.

Seems like some data will go into Cad Nicely, with graphs and labels, other times no, seemingly from similar workflows.

I think exporting individual elements within the report instead of a whole report might be better . . .

I want to be able to import a titleblock from DXF and use that in my report.
