Since this topic isnt too old I thought Id go ahead and share my Faro lighting setup.

Basically I used 4 really cheap LED lamps I bought on ebay and put them on my scanner using velcro tape (my inital plan was to 3d print some sort of attachment, but I just got the lamps yesterday and we need them on the scanner today... :

Heres the result of scanning my livingroom in pitchblack conditions (scanner placed in the middle of the room...

Not sure yet how long the battery lasts, but that will be tested in the field in some underground tunnels today

heres a little update on the scanlighting project.
the batteries on the LED lights last a good 8-9hrs on medium which was more than enough... i might have to add something to get a little more diffuse light but other than that the results are very satisfying.
