Hi,
We just developed a plugin for Scene (+LT) that allows creating pipes in just one click.
Here's a small demo:

For now, we didn't include it in our object manager package. Please let us know whether you could be interested.

This is a step in the right direction, but Edgewise already extracts pipes from pointclouds without the need for individual clicks. Just load in your pointcloud and click "find pipes". Our clients find that Edgewise is able to extract about 80% of pipes from a pointcloud with almost no false positives. Check out our page for videos and details. https://www.clearedge3d.com/products/edgewise/

Hi,
Edgewise uses a good batch process to detect all cylinders automatically indeed.
But as soon as you display the pointcloud and want to extract one individual pipe, you have to clip it with a polygon.
I know Edgewise quite well as I was the first user in France in 2013. This is a great software.

Re: One click pipe fitting for Scene
Hi,
For now we don't know whether we will include this in our plugin package (object manager). Using the developer SDK is a way for us to easily test some algorithms.
Regarding pipes, the real leap will be to build the whole piperun. But this is a huge work. Current softwares on the market already do a good job on this.
