We need to do a classic survey and a small laser scanning survey (3 or 4 scans) on a platform.
We are thinking going with the MS50 but we never used MS50 Offshore even for classic survey.
Is much more easy travel to offshore with only a total station that travel with a total station...Scanner, targets etc etc...
But we are afraid with the platform movement will affect the MS50.
Does any one tried Leica MS50 offshore?

You could get an app for the 1200 series total station that let you accurately set up unlevelled on ships and offshore platforms. I'm not sure if they ever ugraded it to the viva or nova series though. It might be worth chatting to your Leica dealer.

check with support for unleved setup for the scandata, there is no issues with ms50 as normal TS. I can't remeber off hand if turning the comp off keeps the scandata in the same coord system
