Here's a new feature we are about to finish in ScanSap: the advanced viewpoints.
You can create dozens of viewpoints that keep all the visibility settings: rendering, active scans, active clippings, objects visibility.
The system also automatically switches to ortho / perspective view too.
Really often, when you want to view the scans, you need to adjust the visibility settings and the clipped areas.
Now, you can do it in one click!

All the new features in the pipe:
- import of: STEP, OBJ, FBX files,
- export of ScanSap objects (pipes, boxes, tags...) in STEP format,
- automatic simplification of STEP files. Usually, manufacturers provide their models with many details. Our algorithm automatically deletes bolts, buttons, and other small details,
- HD images and orthoimages (+ scale and DPI),
- new rendering options,
- 3DConnexion spacemouse support,
- piperuns (straight sections + elbows and T connections),
- sphere detection (+ big spherical vessels),
- xyz gizmo that can be customized (this gizmo was missing).
In progress:
- Z+F files import,
- color ramp on clipping boxes. For now, we have the classical Z ramp. In the future, you'll be able to add a color ramp to the points that are clipped. This way you get a color ramp for each floor of a building. The clipping box can also be tilted,
- color segmentation (we will add what we already developed as a plugin for CloudCompare)
- walls modeling (well, this is the easy part that we could have already developed),
- structure detection,
- user coordinates system.
