Scan2Bim IFC

Hi,
the modeling part in scan2bim workflow is made with different tools.
Standalone solutions or implemented in native BIM software like Revit, Allplan....
Exchange between BIM software is made with IFC.

To make the client happy the deliverd BIM model should be as useful as possible...apart from the 3D geometry.
If modelled in the native software chances should be good for that....but delivered as IFC...not really sure.

Could anybody share some experience which limits or disadvantages the delivery of IFC instead of native formats like rvt do exist ?

one disadvantage I have had, is having a large detailed model not export to IFC at all.
