Re: Create orthophotos
I consulted our R&D team on this topic. So the Orthoimage renderer just renderst the point of the selected Clipping box in the menu. While we investigate the possibilities to extend the functionality, the only workaround at the moment come to my mind is to duplicate the project data and delete the data which should not show up in the image.

I had sensed that the problem was of this type!MaZschi wrote: ↑Wed Sep 22, 2021 9:31 am I consulted our R&D team on this topic. Duplicating project data becomes problematic because it implies having multiple projects based on orthophotos.
For now I have solved it by cropping the unnecessary parts on the image.
We hope they solve it as soon as possible !!

Re: Create orthophotos
Emanuele
I have using Clipping box to frame the orthophoto and also to hide unwanted areas and this has been worked well except for the bug in version 2019.1.
I do not know what may be the cause of the problems you are facing.
I did make 2 little orthophotos to test it again and show that the hide inside is working in the SCENE version I'm using. Besides the tips I wrote in my last message, I would suggest you to use the standard user interface and set the visibility settings there.

I did some tests with
SCENE 2021.0.0.6941
SCENE 2021.1.0.7240
SCENE 2021.2.0.7703
and keep activating the "hide inside" clipboxes

Re: Create orthophotos
Sorry, I forgot. The SCENE version I'm using is 2021.2.0.7703 (9.2.0.7703).
The problem may be due to a specific clipping box combination. It my worth a test with a new combination. I would try the following sequence:
1 - Make a new clipping box (hide exterior) to frame the orthophoto. Let it active.
2 - Make a new clipping box (hide interior) to hide an area that is inside the first CB. Let it active.
3 - Turn off the visibility of the 2 CB
4 - Switch to the standard user interface and configure the visibility settings.
5 - Launch the Orthographic Photo Generator, select the frame clipping box created at step 1 and set the orthophoto resolution.
I hope this could render a good orthophoto as you wish

Re: Create orthophotos
Naturally, step 0 should be to deactivate all clipping boxes before performing the suggested sequence.robjlg wrote: ↑Thu Sep 23, 2021 1:27 pm Sorry, I forgot. The SCENE version I'm using is 2021.2.0.7703 (9.2.0.7703).

I have tried your suggestions on other projects too but I still have the same problem!robjlg wrote: ↑Thu Sep 23, 2021 1:27 pm Sorry, I forgot. The SCENE version I'm using is 2021.2.0.7703 (9.2.0.7703).

When generating the orthophoto deactivate the "hide inside" clipboxes.
I wanted to try with the classic interface but the orthophotos app does not appear.
Thank you for your help, I'll do more tests

Re: Create orthophotos
The image below shows where is the icon to access the Create Orthographic Photos plugin on the standard user interface. It work well on the other interface. I use the standard because on it there are more options for the visibility settings.
Below more of the workflow I use
Sometimes I create a clipping box to clean a point cloud in the scene scope. I delete this clipping box as soon as I finish clean a scene. If I forgot to delete this CB it can cause unexpected behavior when handling the whole point cloud.
I put all the clipping boxes on a high level in the project structure so its scope is on the point cloud as a whole.
On the visibility settings I let only the Project Point Cloud layer turned on.
The hide inside clipping box does not need to be completely inside the frame clipping box.
The sample orthophotos below were created with the CB visibility turned on.

Re: Create orthophotos
Short update: we have identified a bug in the current Orthoimage App (2.1.3). The bug is fixed and the new App version (2.1.4) will be rolled out with SCENE 2021.3 released in October.
