3D Printed Light bracket for Faro S70
Hi All,
I have a lot of boat interiors to scan, often in poor lighting.
I designed and 3D printed these brackets to attach standard camera lights to our Faro Focus S70.
I am thinking one light on each side should do, but I can attach 4 in total.
Its a bit rough at the moment with a few minor refinements to come.
Regards,
Mike

From messing around with lights on our S150, I would suggest 2 on each side, one angled slightly up, the other down.
We went a slightly different route and used hoops that slide over the scanner body, giving 360 light.

Thanks Simeon,
Hoops sounds like a good idea, I just had a few camera lights sitting around.
I have changed the design slightly as the bracket was blocking the camera .
The new brackets look like this ;

We did a quick fix with LED strips on the tripod. One on each leg. Worked good enough. I was doing photogrammetry on top so pics are just for alignment anyway.

I just used velcro tape. Has been working fine for about two years now. I did however reduce from 4 Leds to 2 as it was way to bright.
Thinking about printing something too, BUT i dont want to carry any extras and still want the scanner to fit in its case

What Robotic Carriage are you using there? We have some 300 meter long outfalls to scan, and I am looking for carriage options. It'll be tethered and all so we don't have much to worry about.

Built it last year from parts I ordered from Bangood.com. It does the job, but there are better options out there. Probably going to rebuilt it soon.
