Photogrammetry in movies

Post by kpob46 »

I was watching this movie the other night, ‘Demonic’, by the same director as District 9 and Elysium. They use photogrammetry and laser scanning as part of the plot. I don’t wanna spoil it for anyone who wants to watch it, but thought it was interesting to see how it was being used.

We used to do a lot of scanning for the film industry, was generally long hours and had to be on call all hours.

Also, there is an Amazon series called 'The Expanse'. If you watch carefully in some scenes, you can see scan targets dotted around
