Trimble T10 (tablet for the X7) overheating issues
Hi
I have noticed high temperatures in the tablet T10 which I use to control my X7. This happens mostly at the refinement process while using the Perspective software. I worry a lot because it gets too hot (due to the high processor usage) and especially in the summer this is dangerous. I have been using it for the last 6 months.
Does anyone have similar issues with the T10?

Exactly the same here... Its too hot to touch when refining...
I tend to export to RW and refine using that on larger jobs.

I don't think it's going to last for long.
Unfortunately I don't use RW so I have to use the perspective on the tablet.
Does anyone use Perspective on a PC in order to avoid overheating?

Its posibble to use Perspective on PC? I thought that Trimble doesnt offer licence on Pc.
If TRW is used for refinment, it can't happen that the field registration collapse? (for ex if there are some repetitive construction)

I don't know if Perspective can be installed on a PC.
That would solve many issues (slow speed, overheating etc) regarding the T10.
Unfortunately, T10 tablet is unable to handle big projects. It has old processor and poor heat dissipation.

8gb RAM was also a very poor choice...
pretty much sits at over 80% use when refining

Maybe that’s the reason why they are replacing T10 with T100.
Hope the T100 will eliminate all these problems

Re: Trimble T10 (tablet for the X7) overheating issues
We've had the same overheating issues when refining and colorizing when exporting on T10 Tablet with Field Link. Now I do the refining and colorizing TDX export with Field Link installed on a more powerful desktop. It's adding a few more steps but on the positive side we're not filling up the smallish hard drive on T10 as fast.

Re: Trimble T10 (tablet for the X7) overheating issues
The problem is the Perspective can not be installed on a PC so we can not avoid T10.
Any solutions?
Does anyone has expericence with overheating issues with T100?
