Post by polyga »

FlexScan3d Re-Released!

With the dis-continuation of the HP David Software, there's currently no low cost software for putting together a structured light scanner.

We’re like to announce that FlexScan3D software is now available for building your own DIY 3D scanner. For anyone who wants to create a structured-light 3D scanner from the ground up, you can use the same scanning engine that powers all of our Polyga professional line of 3D scanners. FlexScan3D is a robust platform that has been in the market for more than a decade but has not been available for DIY applications for the past 4-5 years.

Building your own 3D scanner is a great low-cost option for anyone who wants to get started 3D scanning and learn how to do it on a small scale. As a bonus, you have maximum flexibility and control to customize your own 3D scanner the way you want. It's targeted for structured light, so human sized objects and below.

You can find out more here.

We've to keep things affordable for students and markers at a 95$ / month rental model for projects and evaluations. - $500 for a permanent non-commercial use license.
