Faro to TBC
Hello,
Is Scene necessary to get scans into TBC from a faro S? What about registration and georeferencing? Anyone using this workflow?
Thank you in advance and cheers!

Re: Faro to TBC
I think TBC is to work with the pointclouds but for registering you need Realworks. A seperate package.Veit wrote: ↑Mon May 25, 2020 10:47 am I guess TBC means Trimble Business Center. But i never tried it out.

Re: Faro to TBC
My question is whether Faro FLT files are transferable into TBC for processing without Scene? Trimble business center with scanning has full cloud processing capabilities and cad routines and interfaces into my Carlson Survey 2020.

Re: Faro to TBC
Yes, you can register raw Faro data in Trimble Business Center.
To import multiples raw .fls folder in TBC at the same time, there's a trick.
You open the folder containing all the raw .fls folder, search with the Windows research for .fls files, select those and drag and drop them all at once in TBC. It'll take some time, but should get all the scans at 0,0,0 after a few minutes/hours.
If you have the scanning module, you'll be able to registrer them all using planes recognitions or 1 by 1 clicking common points.
cheers,

Re: Faro to TBC
Thanks Benoit,
Do you know if TBC automatically recognizes spheres and targets? I have used it for most things point cloud. It may come down between As-built and TBC for a cad interface.
