Tank volume analysis
FARO BuildIT Construction users can calculate the fill volume for tanks or vessels from scan data and then automatically create and export a report of the volume per height. Check out all the capabilities this software and another great function is the FARO BuildIT team can help build automation routines/macros for custom processes or to just simplify the UI for when you only need to do repetitive work.

Re: Tank volume analysis
Just wanted to add that I've ran this for workflows like grain silos or wastewater tanks as well. Wide variety of use cases for this!

Re: Tank volume analysis
I seems interesting but i find it bloody expensive, also a perpetual license which i don't like.

Re: Tank volume analysis
The licensing for BuildIT Construction is actually subscription based but currently has only a 1 year subscription option. I am sure FARO will get more creative with pricing in the future. Most clients will find at least 1 project that will pay for BuildIT whether for 4D analysis, scan vs BIM, tanks, floor flatnesss reporting, laser projection with Tracer, etc. I believe the closest competing tank specific product in the industry is MUCH more expensive. Anyway, we love the feedback either way. Give it a go and let us know

FARO BuildIT Construction is subscription based and we have a 1 and 3 year subscription option. I hope you will reach out to your local FARO contact and let them assist you with getting a trial for evaluation and some pricing options.

Re: Tank volume analysis
The example from the website looks like a horizontal vessel. The AsBuilt/PointSense tools only work with vertical vessels. PM me or send me an email and i will have one of our engineers get you a vertical tank for testing in As-Built. You could use the same for BuildIT.

Re: Tank volume analysis
This looks like a flaw to me. Why does this only works with vertical vessels?scott.diaz wrote: ↑Tue Aug 27, 2019 2:42 pm The AsBuilt/PointSense tools only work with vertical vessels.
