LFD and supporting file structure

Post by JMaxwellTSS »

Evening All,

I've converted a number of scans and created an LFD. The problem is that we ran close on time and had to move the data to drives as quickly as possbile before leaving for the airport (client moved timeline).

I need to compile the data onto 1 deliverable USB hard drive and wondered if someone could advise me what goes where. Also - Without a fully licenced version of LFM on my laptop can I open the file using an LFD 'viewer' or similar?

Thanks

James

Hi James,

Assuming you're only delivering the AVEVA LFM Server dataset and there is only one dataset in the project the structure should be:

Dataset
- Config folder (containing .lfm and possibly .sqlite files)
- DatasetName_clashes folder
- pngs folder (containing an .int file for each scan)
- points folder (containing .points files)
- .lfd file
- .lfm file
- .log file

Unfortunately there is no free viewer for .lfd files.

If you need any further information please feel free to contact us a [email protected].

Regards,
Jenni
