One of our surveyors was surveying at the roundabout on the A6013, Kettering using our Leica Total Station in robotic mode, when a Ford Fiesta pulled up and made off with the instrument. Details of the equipment are listed below.

I understand that there is a Leica data base for stolen kit, can anyone advise me with regards to whom to contact to get it added?

Just contact either support or customer care and they will add it to the database

It's amazing how brazen these thieves are. This incident was very similar, though their kit was worth a bit more....

Thanks for the BBC link. Thats just crazy.
It a shame nobody seems to use the pin code protection, it could wipe the smile of their faces.
Leica are bringing out a retofit tracker for the TS16 in June, a step in the right direction, but I hope it doesn't cost too much..
