Hi,
I'm a Geomagic X user and have some questions about the post-processing of my scanning data.
I have a scanned point cloud as attached,
let's say it has already been aligned to the world coordinate system (z-axis is the depth direction of this part).
Now I want to extract the point coordinate on the intersection curve of this curve surface and the XZ plane. How can I realise it?
Another question is, if we have two surfaces (say upper and lower surface of a plate), how can we measure the deviation between these two surfaces?
Thanks,
Sixuan Chen

if you region the scan then the upper and lower areas should become planes which you should be able to measure this offset
