While training a group this week, we coated a vehicle and meshed it in SCENE, then exported as .obj and brought into 3ds Max
It worked really well.

Nice work. How did you coat the car? Do you have a photo of the car coated? I commonly dust powder on small objects I scan but have never undertaken a large object like this.

Here is the grey scale image of the coated car.
We didn't go "full Dave Dustin" on it as it was a class exercise.
Otherwise there would have been even fewer anomalies.
We use 91% Rubbing alcohol and baby powder in a spray bottle (60/40 ish).
