Stolen Leica TCRP1200 R300

Post by Kurt Robertson »

...stolen from a central reservation/island/median on a dual carriageway in Bognor Regis on Monday 1st June 2009 at 20.02pm.

The instrument was hauled tripod-and-all into the back of a black sedan which sped off before I even lost connectivity with the Rx controller.

So, if you get offered the opportunity to buy this lovely piece of kit, please do let us know.

....where, oh where could my baby be?...

Kurt,

Sorry to hear about your 1200. Did it have the pin code feature turned on? Also if you tell Leica they will keep an eye out whilst calibrating the kits.

Hope you was insured for it.

Kurt, you need to publish the serial number of your total station. It could help in case of sale this unit.
Also good idea to publish this information on big number of bulletin boards.

Alexander, which other boards would you recommend? One of my contacts had his RTK base stolen in UK and found it on ebay.

Maybe the survey industry needs something like the photographers stolen gear registry. A mate of mine got his Canon 1Ds back via this:

Hi Nick,

Mmm... Maybe I've been so fast in my advice... I work in Russia, so I generally know Russian web resources.
Some trade companies has own forums, also there are private forums.

I suppose, UK has similar web resources about survey in UK...

Anyway, sorry if my suggestion wrong.
