Hi all,
I am a novice when it comes to 3D meshes so apologies for the basic question.
I have created a mesh, the issue i have is i want in RGB, it is only in color when opened in meshlab, i imagine its to do with each software package reading the texture images created for the obj.
is there a better way to export a mesh to include RGB values, a different format etc?
Thanks in advance
Richard

Hi,
At least I know that the PLY (Stanford) and FBX (Autodesk) formats are supporting RGB colors.

OBJ is a fairly universal 3D format. Some programs prefer the texture images in jpg only so just try it different ways.

Re: RGB values for 3D model
Many thanks for your help.
I'll try different formats for the pics as well and i'll see if the RGB works in different software.
