Re: iStar Night Shots with HDR
Excellent work Eugene,
Have you installed the latest v2.0.2 firmware on the iStar and installed the Immersive Studio 5.1.0 on your PC yet? If not I can certainly recommend you doing it.
The whole capture and process work has been made even quicker with these updates.
You can set HDR to auto with ISO at 1600 in near dark conditions and get very impressive results. We use the iStar at collision and crime scenes and are getting great results. With the RGB overlay imminent from NCTech this will make the use of the iStar together with our Leica C10 a brilliant solution for scenes. Just could do with a P20 now......

Is there any software were you can position and "click" multiple panoramic images? Something like Faro webshare or SpheronVR?
You will probably need to have an floor plan and position the images yourself?....

We use software called Pano2VR Pro for designing virtual tours which is what I think you are getting at? Their website is http://ggnome.com/. I know there is another very good piece of software which does the same and more which is by a company called Kolor. Their website is http://www.kolor.com/
If you visit each website they have case studies showing you what their software is capable of.

Our www.iSTARshare.com portal allows you to create linked 360 degree images and share them. It allows for audio, music, floor plans, logos, hot spots and external links. Its a free service we offer with each iSTAR camera system.Leap3D wrote:Is there any software were you can position and "click" multiple panoramic images? Something like Faro webshare or SpheronVR?

You can also export the online content and run it offline.

Neil,
How very remiss of me to not mention your iStarshare service...... Apologies galore!!!
I was in police non-internet based mode when I posted the previous comment.
Having seen what your iStarshare offers it puts a lot of software which has to be paid for to shame. As you say, it offers everything you would need for creating virtual tours with the added benefit of being able to share your results with anybody who has access to the internet.

Paul
