One single portal to show Navis & photogrammetry

Post by Mark1265 »

Hi guys,
We’re about to take on a new project and we need to deliver to the client the data from our NavVis VLX3 (with the panos) plus point cloud data from the drone as well as photogrammetry from the drone. We trying to find a way to percent this to the client from one portal perhaps something I can turn on or off the layers?

It’s important to the client to be able to view the point cloud data with the embedded Panoramas similar to what we can do with the Nevis ivion software.

To deliver a comprehensive and interactive experience to your client, you can utilize various platforms that allow for the integration of point cloud data, panoramic images, and photogrammetry into a single portal. Some of them are: NavVis Ivion, Potree, Bentley ContextCapture, Sketchfab, CesiumJS, Pix4D Cloud, and Autodesk BIM 360.

One of the easiest ways to merge point cloud data, panoramic images, and photogrammetry into one file is by layering on CAD and BIM software formats. Create several layers for all three, and you can switch on and off the layers as per your viewing convenience.

When you say "photogrammetry from the drone" .. do you mean pointcloud, high-poly-count textured mesh, or lots of 3D positioned photos ?

Quite a few of the commercial pointcloud viewer platforms are built on potree open source point cloud viewer ..
my own offering adds support for sharing of annotations/measures over the web and viewing cube panoramas, of the kind embedded in e57.

[ check fly nav on, panos on and dbl click a pano to jump there ]
