The original batteries from 2011 Faro 120 last for 2 hours each. TX5 came with one battery but it had charging problems and is dead already. I bought a new battery couple years ago and it still holds for about 4 hours. I don't know how difficult is to get new one today but I also did not expect the scanner to work for 10 years. If it outlives its remaining batteries I'm sure it'll be possible to charge it through its power plug :)

I have an original one and bought a second one within 6 months after initial purchase.

Maybe i should be looking for a spare but with the TX5 projects don't last longer then a few hours on site. I can also charge then with the cradle if needed.

When we needed them, it may have been a coincidence that new batteries were not easy to find at that time. And the new model was not suitable. So until we found new batteries, we had to have the old ones rebuilt by electricians :)
