It has been about a year since the ThreadRipper 5000WX showed up for those that were looking for a workstation that could process/crank output on a local basis without paying for AWS fees for I/O, storage, CPU/GPU nodes (and whatever else they charge you--- I do not know know exactly since I have never used AWS).
Here is the leak from tom's HARDWARE on the 7995WX, 7985WX, and 7945WX for those folks that might have been waiting. Nothing on pricing for CPU, motherboard, or release date; but probably more expensive than the 5000WX. The availability of 96 cores could be interesting for some users, especially running AI applications.

More leaks and information, but pricing is important for 96 cores.

Quite the upgrade over the 3000 series threadrippers... If only they were compatible with my TRX4 socket... oh well, haha. Exciting none the less!

Re: AMD THREADRIPPER 7000WX
This is what you will receive in three days if you DIY for probably less than US$10K. Someone should compare this to a monthly AWS bill.
AMD 7980X =US$5,000
ASUS MB ~ US$1,000 to US$1,200
DDR5 RAM 256 GB ~ US$1,200 to US$2,400
AMD 7995WX = TBD (probably US$7K-8K)
It is the overclocking that is interesting, but the multiple PCIe GEN 5 lanes vs Ryzen 9 7950X is what will make the difference in an ASUS MB workstation.
