Can anyone shed some light on the Hardwarerror3 on a HDS6200?
I've seen a post about a Hardwareerror2 on a 6100. This is a lightly used instrument that hs been in storage for a quite a while.
Regards,
Chris

I work with the same instrument and report the same error after switching on. Has anyone found a solution to this problem? According to Hungarian support it is not worth it to send it to Germany. This is really sad.

Hi !
Try to reboot. Had a thing like this with a P30...Drive was Dead.... SSD down
If its frozen.... call Leica Support...
Does it usually controlled by Leica?

Re: Hardwarerror3 on a HDS6200
How do you mean reboot? I have tried on/off serval times, tried with different battery, even disassembly front cover to see MBO, nothing suspicious there. I even flash the BIOS by removing the RAM. I am also thinking that something happen with HDD or SSD. It has one 4GB Flash card inside, error is the same even when I remove it.
Is there any way to connect it to external monitor, because I see on MBO there is a VGA port and PS2 for keyboard? Anyone tried?
It was not controlled in Leica last 8 years
I already call local Leica office, but they said that it is not worth to send it to service. It is too old.

Contact Z+F and see if they are willing to work on it or with you. We had an older HDS6100 that Leica stopped servicing and we were able to send it to Z+F-USA to get calibrated and serviced. We used them to support this model until we traded it in a few years ago.

The HDS6000 series scanners are a Z+F product rebranded by Leica.cpw006 wrote: ↑Tue Jun 07, 2022 12:45 pm Contact Z+F and see if they are willing to work on it or with you. I had the same problem, and it was solved by replacing the bios battery with new one and it will work fine again
