Product Design and Reverse Engineering - Handyscan Black Elite OR?

Hi guys,

We are looking to invest in a professional grade 3D laser scanner for predominately automotive aftermarket projects. We will need a scanner capable of high accuracy and capturing fine details, such as small holes.

I am a novice in this area, but from my initial research, it looks like the handyscan black elite is a good fit.

Is there a better option available for this application or am i on the right path?

We use solidworks for our design work if this makes a difference?
