Don't know about release dates but i saw it at GeoWeek and although it looks clumsy like i said on the InterGeo post the data is excellent. No difference with static scanning.

You have to do a few static scans where it attaches to but the slam part delivers great results. Price was about 40k for the slam unit only.
I do not know how many Z+F scanner users/owners have seen this announcement.

We have had 10 years of unblemished, excellent performance with our two Z+F Imager 5010C/5010X scanners. We are looking to exchange our Z+F scanners to the 5016 and possibly allow you to include the Flexscan 22. We have never had to sell our Z+F scanning equipment, but have always been able to upgrade them from 5006, 5006h, 5010C, 5010X over the many years being Z+F customers.
