Measure distance between to point point 90 degrees apart?

Hello,

I'm kind of new to Scene. I'm using Scene LT with scans that I did not create. And this might be a rudimentary question but..

I am trying to measure the distance between to beams down the length.

Is there some way that I can mark one beam then have scene create a line that is 90 degrees so that it hits the other beam (assuring me that the two points are directly across from each other.)?
