Do you have to have control points?
Will the cloud based IVION process a dataset without having control points? I did a small scan of an electric room and it keeps failing to process. The only thing I can think of is I don't have control points.

Re: Do you have to have control points?
No, control points are not absolutely necessary.
I have scanned many sites with no control points.
The key is the scanning workflow.
You need to do loops.

Definitely did a loop. The room was maybe 12'x12'.jaredmatthews wrote: ↑Mon May 15, 2023 2:36 pm No, control points are not absolutely necessary.

I'm having upload issues with a couple others as well that are complete 2nd and 3rd floors, with lots of control points, of the same building. First floor worked very well. They are their own datasets.
What's wild is that I had to fall back on a different day to get into some secure areas on the first floor and that processed just fine.
Some datasets work and some don't. Didn't do anything different between them.

Re: Do you have to have control points?
Well if you think you scanned it correctly, then if I were you I would log a support ticket with Navvis and have them look at the data. They may ask you to upload one of the log files...

Already on that too! Just thought I'd check in here with the users to see if anyone came across this problem before. Support seems to be having troubles today. support.navvis.com isn't coming up either. Typical Monday! Thanks for the repliesjaredmatthews wrote: ↑Mon May 15, 2023 5:31 pm Well if you think you scanned it correctly, then if I were you I would log a support ticket with Navvis and have them look at the data. Re: Do you have to have control points?
No, you definitley don't have to have control points.
The processing issue you're having will be down to something else.
That said, we always use control points where we are able.

Re: Do you have to have control points?
Just to tie this off...do not change the name of the data folders and then try to upload them to the site. IVION does not like that.
