How does Cintoo physically interact with Autodesk Revit or Civil 3D or Microstation on a local Workstation platform? Plug-in? or having to download file and then connect... Or direct connection to Cinto platform hosted Mesh

We integrate Autodesk models (RVT, DWG, NWD, NWC, etc.) through the Cintoo Cloud website. You can either directly upload them or you can link Cintoo Cloud with your Autodesk 360 account/server and you can directly pull the latest models from ACC Docs. As models are updated and saved to the Autodesk Cloud, you can refresh your latest models in Cintoo.

Cintoo has integrations for BIM Track and some other apps for clash detection and pushing items out to your other clash detection programs for tracking as well. As for the Meshing Engine, when you upload the scans through their Cintoo Connect app, I'm not totally sure what it all does from processing the e57 files before uploading, but with the meshing that goes on behind the scenes, it does allow a few more visibility settings when viewing the point clouds through the web. A couple being smooth surface, X-ray, and 3D height map modes.

For the meshing it does behind the scenes, that seems to only be the case when you view the point clouds from a setup's location. As you fly through the 3D point cloud, it acts and feels like a typical point cloud would where you can see individual points. The meshing helps mostly with the setup views and rendering the cloud/mesh very fast.

Hey...
you can view the mesh in 3D space as well. Just make sure the TurboMesh button is ticked. The one between "scan mode" and "3D Navi".

Yup, thank you for pointing that out! Here's a screen capture video showing the differences between the different settings and viewing options for those that aren't using Cintoo. https://www.screencast.com/t/pyTKxeuoF
