Hello, I am having trouble with a large scan that we recently did where a significant amount of the scans disappear when I zoom into the cloud... It is a fairly large point cloud and space (about 600 setups). We used both a P40 and RTC360 to capture the space which includes above and below ceiling. My issue is that I am trying to cut out everything below ceiling and there are multiple different ceiling heights, so when I zoom into areas the scans drop off until I zoom far out. Is there any reason for this? My computer is defineitly capable of manipulating large scans as we have done larger in the past. Any ideas what I can do to stop this error? I have attached pictures to give some insight.

Re: Scans disappear when zooming in
You can adjust the load number of points and display number of points options in preferences which can assist. Had similar problems in the past exporting E57's and some scans don't make it - I usually increase the load number of points to 1500 for example for the session for exporting and zoom a few times to force the load.
You can also unify if that fits your workflow.

Re: Scans disappear when zooming in
Yeah that's a number of loaded points problem.
Way around it is either
1. Increase number of points (600 scans & avg 32mil pts/scan = ~19B pts). So you'd need to up the preferences of Loaded Points to around 10 000 for it to make sense. Why Leica hasn't change that unit to be Billions is Leica for you. Again. I mean 10 or 20 scans are you're into the Billions.
Who thinks as 1 billions = 1000 million. Anyway. I don't like this method.
2. Drop the density to maybe the middle or 4th option. I've found that it's always my last scans (in terms of the lowest on my list in ScanworldExplorer) that go missing. Dropping the density isn't ideal but makes the modelspace quick enough and also loads all my scans.
Then do what I need to do. Usually cleaning clouds etc.
