Here's a link to all German-speakers in this forum.
Me and colleagues from Riegl, Leica and (now formerly) Z+F wrote a vendor neutral guide to registration for the German Association for Geodesy, Geoinformation and Land Management.
It is a whopping 56 pages and covers a lot of relevant topics, yet of course still just scratches the surface of some subjects. Yet, it should be defo worth a read, regardless if you're a beginner or expert.

If some of the material looks familiar, then it is because some stuff is based on the taming error series (https://www.linkedin.com/pulse/taming-e ... el-wujanz/) which is written in English. Should you be interested in using this material for a guide in your mother tongue, just let me know.
Cheers
Daniel

Very nice and thorough document which should be read by users who take their projects serious. Of course not easy to understand for non German people but you could use goole translate to get a good understanding what it is all about.

Google translate actually does a very good job here, surprised how well it handles technical content at this stage and that it does good PDF to PDF with no hassle. Link I used was https://translate.google.com/?hl=en&sl=de&tl=en&op=docslandmeterbeuckx wrote: ↑Tue Nov 01, 2022 7:00 pm Very nice and thorough document which should be read by users who take their projects serious. What are the rules for posting the translated document on a website?

Dear Paul,
good question! As long as you reference the original source, I personally do not see a problem.
I mean, it is publically available and a non-commercial project.
For the sake of being careful, I'll talk to my co-authors.
All the best
Daniel
