Hi,
We need to transfer DXF files to SolidWorks (IGES or STEP file). We have tried importing DXF from SolidWorks but it did not work. We have also tried to generate IGES from AutoCAD mechanical (IGESOUT command) but SolidWorks did not load it.
I have already reviewed threads on this on the Internet so I would appreciate to ear about anyone who has hands-on experience in doing this.
Thanks in advance.

Re: Data exchange from AutoCAD to SolidWorks
The best way to get 3D solids from AutoCad to Solid Edge is using .sat format, I dont know if Solid works uses the same format, but worth a try.
If you don't see that there is nothing, then you are kidding yourself.
