Pointsense toolbars help

Post by Dedken »

Two things:

1) When I upgraded Pointsense recently I binned the toolbars, but now I can't figure out how to get them back. I wanted to get them back because I want quick access to a few options when in the ACAD 'Home' panel without having to switch panels...

2) So being unable to find the toolbars again I stuck some of the Pointsense buttons on a ACAD Quick access toolbar yesterday but when I opened ACAD this morning all the icons had been replaced by a cloud containing a '?'. What's going on then?

Hi Kenneth,

the issues you are facing look like AutoCAD specific.
I'd recommend contacting our support (support(at)faro-3d-software.de).

Have you tried if you can able the PointSense toolbars via CUI command?
AutoCAD replaces icons by (?) when it cannot find the DLLs with the icons. Not sure why it is not finding them on your mashine.

By the way, you may drag GROUPS from the PointSense ribbon to a place outside the ribbon by holding down the left mouse key over a GROUP and moving. This way you can have it like a toolbar while using the AutoCAD "Home" panel.

Hope that helps!

Thought that might be the case

Haven't tried that but will give it a go

All these years of using ACAD and I didn't know that! We keep on learning...
