Orthophoto in Kubit

Post by billythekid »

Hi,
I've made an orthophoto with kubit, and the resolution looks great in my picture viewer, but when i insert it into autocad, i see all the point cloud (artefacts, holes...) when i zoom on it...
See attachment...please.

I checked it with our data set. It is because of zoom factor and visualsation style. We have best view with 2d wireframe.

Thank you IngSayyad, the view is better in 2d wireframe, but, if i have to send it to my customer, he can't really re-draw on it...How do you do if you have an customer who wants to drawn on an orthophoto ?

Regarding the kubit ortho, you can also "fill the gaps" of the ortho image by increasing the setting :

"size of a point cloud point (projected to the image) in pixels" within the ortho image dialog

Careful, setting this too high will cause distortion. You can also see an instructional video on ortho images here

I appreciated this tutorial from Kubit. It was paced properly, informative, and it provided a good sense of of the workflow and tools needed for orthophotos. Good work!

Dear Guru!

Could you please help me wit my project.
I'm trying to get a good resolution black and white orthophoto from my Faro Focus data. I used to try different settings but stil can't achive a good anought result.

Here is some examples of my ortho: https://dropmefiles.com/v9J7v
Here is a link for a project in Recap: https://dropmefiles.com/OU5LG
Here is few screenshots from "planar view" from FaroScene project to show you a resolution and quality of my scans: https://dropmefiles.com/6KaAp

I see that there is a good quality preview and I would like to get same in my Orthophotos. Is it possible? Is so, what should I do to achieve such result?

Here a sample what I want to get, but in black and white mode: https://dropmefiles.com/XKPQZ

Maybe you can open my eys and will explain me some tips and triks regarding ortho process.
