Hi guys
I've had a Faro S150 plus for about 6 months now and I process everything in the office. I'm thinking about how I can speed things up and so I'm wondering how much quicker it will be using on-site registration.
How much processing time should I expect to save on a 150 scan project?
Is it possible to use the on-site reg for external work too? I mean surely you don't have the laptop outside if it's raining, which is all it does here now! So what's the setup for external scanning?
Kind regards, Andrew
Scene and on-site registration - will it speed things up?

We use a specced up Dell 7220 Rugged tablet indoors and out.

You can get a detatchable keyboard and desk dock that makes it very easy to use in the office.
Switching from a Scene dongle to a software license means you can keep all the port covers closed to maintain waterproofing.
Not so good for high res/coloured scans as they take too long to align and slow down the flow.
