Leica scans in Scene

Post by uberto »

Hi all,

does somebody knows a way to get scans from a RTC360 with Register360 into Scene to implement it into Scenetogo ?
To transfer the pointcloud is no problem but the flatten view (via e57,ptx) is always head down....so it will be in Scenetogo....a bit exhausting to make headstands on the desk for that...

Thank you.

The ways you mention are the only ways...

What would be your preferred solution, out of interest?

It is but not the whole project cloud. Only the single scans are 3D

This is not about 3D.
Planar views of imported Leica scans from Register360 into Scene...via e57 or ptx...are always turned...means ground in the sky and opposite.
If such scans are used for creating Scnenetogo....the planar views in scenetogo will be turned as well....means they are useless...
Nobody had this issue before ?
Thank you.

Hey Uwe,

have you tried the creation of SCENE 2go data?
As long as the 3D coordinates of the points are correct it should work. You can easily check if the up direction is ok in a 3D view. SCENE 2go does not reuse the planar view image but creates new images from the 3D positions. Same holds for the quick view in SCENE.

Regards,
Daniel
