Cyclone 2022.1 very poor release compared to earlier versions

sounds like your CPU isn't configured correctly as its thrashing the GPU

Back in march I had a couple "get togethers" with Leica HDS support regarding exactly the same issue. It all came down to WIN 11. I thought they sorted out the issue by now. I recall reading release notes of one of recent version saying: WIN 11 COMPATIBLE.

GPU is "idle" (0.3% in 3D for example) .. discrete graphics .. not integrated. Task Manager shows Cyclone correctly using the NVidia. Also played with OpenGL mode .. CPU is maxed - all cores.
Only cleaning individual control spaces - not loading hundreds of scans.
Running out of ideas. I suspect a setting with the 3080Ti that I have missed trying. A sync, or something ..
Register360 is fine.

Laggy graphics in Windows 11 .. disable the "Send Optional Diagnostics Data" in Privacy settings ..

I should have posted an update .. for Core graphics performance, main culprit turned out to be bitlocker which seems to be on as default in Windows 11 .. decrypt the drive and it helped immensley.
Still not as good as I expected on this hardware, but can use it at least ..

Changing "Custom options for apps" in the Windows Graphic settings seems to have helped.

Just wanted to give a quick update to a fix that I had applied which seems to have solved most of the issues I was having in my original post. I appreciate all the suggestions from others and I tried most of them with some varying results but still had the same lingering issues. What I did was very simple. Basically, my system uses 3 monitors. Nothing special, 3x27" Asus 1080p monitors. Well apparently Cyclone core does not like multiple monitors. If I unplug 2 of them the software works fine and definitely is snappy compared to earlier versions. But, I cant unplug my monitors whenever I need to use Core, that would be insane. So I utilized the Span feature from Nvidia. Turned my 3 monitors into 1 and everything is right with the world. Hope that helps anyone having the same problems that I was having.

So, as suggested by badam i've tryed the solutions posted in this thread
The machine i use is a Lenovo ThinkPad with
- Windows 11 Pro 22H2
- i7 11850H @ 2.5GHz (8 cores, 16 threads)
- 32GB RAM
- NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3080
- HDD 1TB
- Laptop monitor + 1 HP + 1 Dell
- For the monitors i've first tryed the surround option from the GeForce control panel, that have disabled the Laptop monitor and joined the HP&Dell, and then tryed to unplug the HP&Dell and use only the Laptop monitor
- The Bitlocker have been turned off
- I've used the the OpenGL settings
- The Disgnostic and Feedback is already turned off
- In the GeForce control panel i've added the executable of Cyclone to the application list, and setup to use the Nvidia for some of the options, or turn on some
But none have worked, the GeForce seems to be never used, all the work is done by the CPU that reaches the 100% while navigating, also in old projects
(recentely i've used a point cloud with just 15 scanworlds 6mm@10m, and with Cyc 9.3 works smoothly, with no lags)
The same databases works fine in a HP Workstation with
- Windows 10 Pro 21H2
- i9-7900X @ 3.3GHz
- 32GB RAM
- NVIDIA Quadro P2000
- 1 monitor 1280x1024
I really don't know what to check....
All seems to be some incompatibility between Cyclone 2022 and Windows 11
