Hi All. I want to reduce the file size of an LGS that contains point cloud and pano images. Is it possible to reduce the point cloud part and then republish the LGS with pano-images in Cyclone Register?
So far I have imported the LGS as a new database and copied a model space view but I get an error when attempting to use the edit object/reduce point cloud option.
I am now unifying and reducing but I'm not sure if it will then let me publish the LGS with pano-images afterwards.
Any advice here would be much appreciated.

Ben

Re: LGS Point Cloud Reduction
Thanks this has worked to reduce the point cloud data but now I have no Pano-Images in the LGS FIle. Maybe this is not possible with a unified point cloud?

Re: LGS Point Cloud Reduction
OK I found the solution.
Use the 'Decimate Setups/Point Cloud*' option in the publish options in Reg 360 and then export the LGS with Pano Images.

How about changing the JetStream Voxel size on the Edit Preferences? This makes a huge difference here....

Re: LGS Point Cloud Reduction
What does the voxel size do on a LGS-file? Can't find a description in the Cyclone help.

Re: LGS Point Cloud Reduction
We use this setting to reduce the overall LGS size, but it does appear to make it more granular looking. Too large of a voxel and it looks like you're playing Minecraft .
We use 1/8" and 1/4" and it makes a huge difference in file size. We also pick and choose individual setups in the LGS that is exported out. Even with a 600 scan job, we export out just certain areas from that registration.
Just to be clear, we are talking about Cyclone "core" with Publisher Pro.
