unfortinatelly I cannot find the 2021.0 release note on the official site. The first paragraph says that this is a release which does not create project backward compatible... I don't think that they reverted those changes by 2021.1... But it should be noted there as well i think. Because the 2020.0 is lived like 1 month...
But i uploaded as attachment
Sometimes i feel that we are alfa testers for 5 grand plus CCP...
UI: just the file name contain 2020.1 but it is really 2021.0 i think this come out of leica hands straightly i didn't rename it...

We had problem with our BLK360 and applying control also in v2021.1.
You are right that the release notes are mis-labeled with the sub version number-common Leica Scenario
We have two licenses of REg 360 . One Workstation is running v2021.1 and one 2021.0 . I had imported the job into v2021.1 and when applied control had the issue with the random assigning to scan station far away from the target. My civil designer in the office was still able to reconnect to the V2021.1 from his v2021.0- so I think any versions sub-version in 2021 are compatible. He was able to get a regular application of control (every station that had targets labeled linked to the scan target control. And when I opened it again (reconnected ) from v2021.1 I was able to see all the applied Ctrl links- go figure...I hope they put out another subversion patch that fixes that....soon v2021.2 ??

One easier fix that we have started using instead of downgrading or switching between versions is to duplicate all your control as many times as you need. So for example you have:
T001_1
T001_2
T001_3
….
All of them have the same coordinates but unique names. Then each setup can have its own control label and still use the same target. It also works with the automatic naming, so R360 will pick new names when the others are occupied.

I tried with 2021.0 but the targets are recognized ONLY ONCE ..
Maybe it depends on some windows 10 setting / dll

Piercarlo
You mean the actual version.....not the final beta.....The first release of software is always the final beta...Not sure how they could have missed that in the beta, except they don't have a very good beta testing group...
BTW there is another thread on this same topic https://www.laserscanningforum.com/foru ... 88&t=17718
