Hi all, I'm running through a trial right now of Jetstream/Cyclone, and using it in AutoCAD Plant to route piping. When I exported some solids, I noticed they had shifted. Looking at the point info, indeed, the whole cloud was leveled to Z=0, while the X and Y are off by about 1000 inches each.
When I import a cloud through the jetstream icon, it does give me an option to use the default (current) coordinate system, but no other options. The units appear fine in the scan. When I export the scan from Cyclone, and opened it another set of software to confirm its coordinates, the scan appeared to be good still.
Something is acting up and placing my cloud in the wrong spot when I import it into the autocad environment. I'm running Plant 3D 2019, and the newest version of Cyclone, Jetstream and CloudWorx that are up on the Leica site as of last week. Any tips would be great, thanks.

Re: Coordinate System shift in AutoCAD/Jetstream
Is the x and y a long way from the origin to start with?
Large coordinate systems don't really work with most software. There is usually a workaround, but better to have things near the origin.

If you don't see that there is nothing, then you are kidding yourself.

No X and Y are both under 10,000. It's not a huge number in the millions.Matt Young wrote: ↑Tue Mar 26, 2019 7:32 am Is the x and y a long way from the origin to start with?

Re: Coordinate System shift in AutoCAD/Jetstream
I think I have it figured out now. The cursor does not target the points, nor was I actually creating solids where I thought I was. It's like AutoCAD doesn't care about where the points are, it creates things behind them on the sheet, not on the cloud. That's why they are all at z=0, and the x and y are just a little off.
