Hi
I have imported Faro project, it was already registered in Scene, but want use Cyclone register algo for it.
What i need to do to register the Faro Scene project data in Cyclone ? mean automatic way, as its already registered, "just" to improve its quality ?
Can someone guide me to do it proper way ?
Faro project - use existing registration ?

We will first import the E57, then open the scanworld. Go to View>TruSpace>Show Scanworlds. This will show you where the scanworlds are placed (they are NOT in order scanned). Take a screenshot of the scanworlds and where they are relative to each other.
Then open the E57 registration, unfreeze, and run through visual reg with the scanworld map as a guide.
We always re-register FARO scans from scene this way. It really tightens things up.

Hi JejjT
Interesting workflow, but im looked for something more automatized solution. that mean use already existing reg and just "improve it"
tested few things but look like its not working properly, so best option for now its to export as E57 in Cyclone Register 360, prepare the links, import in Cyclone register for further registration work....

We have found the data is better first of all running the scans through SCENE (register it through scene).
Export as an e57.
Import to Cyclone.
Pick targets (if you have some) in model space.
Copy them to control space.
Create registration.
Add target file, then e57.
Boom! better quality than running it all through Cyclone.
